About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the face of our company, interacting with customers who contact us for a variety of reasons, from shopping for their new pet to resolving issues. You'll be responsible for:

  • Engaging directly with customers via phone, email, or chat to provide personalized support and resolve their queries.
  • Researching and problem-solving to determine appropriate solutions for customers, thinking proactively, and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure contact resolution.
  • Operating with empathy, patience, and kindness to customers and team members alike, utilizing active listening skills to understand their needs.
  • Collaborating with teammates, your direct manager, and other team members across various levels of the organization using virtual collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, and webcams.
  • Demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow, sharing feedback, and being open-minded to new ideas and processes.

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening), which you'll demonstrate through a written assessment.
  • The ability to multi-task, navigating multiple systems and tools while maintaining a conversation with customers.
  • Proficiency in using computers, including data entry, rapid navigation through systems, and searching for information to support customers.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, including shifting schedules and working overtime as required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check.
  • A reliable, high-speed internet connection (30 Mbps+ download speed/ 10 Mbps+ upload speed) and a dedicated workspace free from distractions.

Technical Requirements

To work effectively in this remote role, you'll need:

  • A dedicated workspace with a large enough area to accommodate computer monitors and minimal background noise.
  • A reliable wired, high-speed internet connection (you can test your internet speed at speedtest.net or by contacting your service provider).
  • A cell phone or tablet that can be used for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify.
  • A webcam and headset for virtual interactions.

We'll provide everything else you need, including a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset.
