About the Role: Assistant Teacher
We're seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team in Anniston, AL. As an Assistant Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for our young students. You'll work closely with our Lead Teacher to provide top-notch care and education, fostering meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom that promotes learning and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, needs, and daily activities to encourage partnership and support.
- Develop strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote parent and community engagement.
- Adhere to all minimum licensing, quality-rated, and accreditation guidelines, as well as company standards, to ensure a high-quality standard of care for every child.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, following our nutrition guidelines and safety protocols.
- Utilize our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other required records.
- Partner with team members and leadership to achieve center goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with coworkers, parents, and children.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- The ability to pass the state-required criminal background check.
