Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators to establish and maintain positive relationships and high expectations for student learning.

• Model Positive Behaviors: Demonstrate professional and ethical behavior, promoting social and interpersonal skills in alignment with district goals.
• Oversee Classroom Support: Supervise assistant teachers, student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers, and student workers to ensure effective classroom operation.
• Participate in Meetings: Attend team and building meetings, professional growth opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences to convey and gather information.
• Respond to Emergencies: Handle emergency situations, such as fights or suspected child abuse, and direct to appropriate personnel for resolution.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree and current Louisiana teacher certification.
• Technological Abilities: Proficiency in general computer use, email, and other job-specific software and applications.
• Professional Conduct: A high standard of professional conduct, including adherence to district policies and regulations.
