As a Manager, Federal Income Tax, you will play a critical role in leading complex tax projects, mentoring team members, and driving client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Project Management: Develop project workplans, schedule deliverables, and manage income tax projects, particularly in the complex interest area.
- Mentorship and Team Development: Guide team members on their career paths, providing mentorship and support to help them grow professionally.
- Client Relationships and Service: Build strong relationships with clients through quality work, respond to client inquiries, and address requests from tax authorities.
- Tax Computations and Financial Management: Prepare tax interest computations, explain them to clients, and assist with client billing and financial forecasting.
- Operational Excellence: Work effectively in a complex, deadline-driven environment, handling tasks with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Confidentiality and Compliance: Safeguard confidential information and sensitive material, adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Education: An undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or a Master's in Tax.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in tax, with 5+ years working directly on IRS interest computations.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with tax computation and DMI software is highly desirable.
- Administrative Requirements: A valid driver's license is required.
