Job Summary: Leading Patient Care Excellence on Night Shift

As our Night Shift Manager of Patient Care, you'll play a critical role in managing the daily operations of our clinical nursing department, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care delivery, and effective utilization of staff, supplies, and equipment. You'll promote evidence-based practice and ongoing performance improvement, collaborating closely with our Nursing Director, physicians, and other department leaders to drive success.

Key Responsibilities: Driving Excellence in Patient Care

  • Leads the achievement of hospital and departmental patient safety goals, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Coaches and mentors team leaders to ensure effective patient care assignments and efficient patient flow.
  • Fosters effective communication, collaboration, and accountability between clinical staff, teams, and other departments.
  • Ensures a safe environment of care for patients, families, and staff through purposeful rounding.
  • Hires, onboards, evaluates, trains, and develops staff, investing in their growth and development.
  • Manages department expenses and resource utilization to achieve budget and productivity goals.
  • Assists with timely completion of care, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Completes ongoing monitoring, data collection, and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Leads and participates in performance improvement initiatives, proactively identifying issues of risk and safety.

Essential Qualifications: Expertise and Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Master's Degree preferred).
  • At least 3 years of nursing experience, with 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Certification specific to patient population (e.g., pediatric nursing).
  • A current RN License in Arkansas or a Compact State.

Preferred Qualifications: Enhancing Your Application
