As a core member of our in-house paid Social Media team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the social media strategy for Walt Disney World, leading a team of talented professionals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. As a Manager, Social Media Strategy & Activation, you will be an integral part of our team, reporting to the Senior Manager and leading a team within our paid Social Media team. You will be responsible for developing and executing paid social media strategies that drive engagement, conversions, and brand awareness for Walt Disney World.
Our team directly manages all paid activity across multiple Ad Manager platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, YouTube, and LinkedIn. As a seasoned social media professional, you will be adept at using these tools, have a strong understanding of product data feeds, and be able to make informed recommendations on optimization strategies based on comprehensive insights and performance data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead paid social media strategy for Walt Disney World, driving innovation and staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving social media landscape.
- Lead and support the team, influencing the organization to run using optimal campaign and ad setup, including best practices and evolving innovation.
- Continue the growth of in-house teams and responsibilities, with a focus on efficiency and talent development.
- Own the social media activation platform suite, including future partnership additions, and work with teams to identify and design tools to improve efficiency.
- Partner across teams, organizations, and companies (media partners and agency) to improve overall technical setup and inter-departmental workflow.
- Play a leadership and change-agent role in our ongoing digital marketing privacy future-proofing efforts, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and updates in each platform.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- 10+ years of digital marketing experience with a focus on ecommerce.
- Extensive experience with social media platforms and related tools, including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Strong understanding of online/offline data and its use in the digital and social space.
- Strong grasp on analytics, measurement, and proper test structures to help coach the team on advanced analysis and testing.
- Familiarity with work management platforms such as Workfront, JIRA, Smartsheets, etc., and the ability to improve the team's use of these tools.
- Comfort with a high level of autonomy and the ability to distill technical details into understandable everyday terms that motivate action through aligned values and goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- A four-year college degree or equivalent work experience in Marketing, Business, Social Media, Analytics, or Statistics.
- A background in managing large-scale social media campaigns and a proven track record of driving results.
- Experience with technical understanding of changes happening across the ecosystem, especially iOS 14.5 and app-related changes on the Google side.
