Key Responsibilities

  • Guiding Our Sales and Marketing Teams: Provide expert guidance on the IT needs of manufacturing companies, helping our teams better understand the industry's challenges and opportunities.
  • Industry Outreach and Networking: Conduct outreach efforts to establish connections within the manufacturing sector, aiming to set up informal "listen and learn" sessions with key industry players.
  • Industry Event Participation: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking meetings to raise awareness about our brand and stay updated on the latest industry trends.
  • Market Research and Insights: Share your knowledge and insights on the manufacturing industry, including its current state, future directions, and technological advancements.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Manufacturing Industry Experience: A background in the manufacturing industry, preferably at a managerial level or higher, with a deep understanding of its operations, challenges, and technological needs.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent people skills, with the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and strike up meaningful conversations with industry professionals.
  • Self-Motivation: A proactive and self-motivated attitude, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Target Market: Experience working with or knowledge of manufacturing companies with 25-250 employees.
  • Geographic Location: Based in the Midwest, ideally Illinois, with easy access to metropolitan areas where manufacturing is prevalent.

Metrics for Success

Your performance will be measured based on the following key metrics:

  • Conducting at least 30 outreach calls/emails to industry contacts each month.
  • Setting up a minimum of 4 meetings with manufacturers each month for informal "listen and learn" sessions.
  • Attending at least 2 industry networking events each month.

What We Offer

This is a 1099 role offering a flexible schedule of 15-20 hours per week. You will be compensated with a monthly flat-rate fee in the range of $2000-$2500, depending on your experience. The position is expected to start in February 2025, with some flexibility in the start date.
