We are currently seeking highly skilled and experienced Medical Billing and Claims Professionals to join a growing company based out of Pittsford, NY, on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work 100% remote from the comfort of your own home, with equipment provided.

About the Role

In this critical role, you will play a key part in assisting healthcare professionals with the processing of medical claim appeals. Your responsibilities will include a range of administrative tasks, project support, and customer service. As a Medical Billing and Claims Professional, you will be the backbone of the operation, ensuring the smooth processing of claims and appeals.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Management: Enter and manage data from various sources into the database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Case Analysis and Research: Analyze cases and perform research to support the decision-making process, demonstrating your expertise and attention to detail.
• Reporting: Generate and verify reports, providing critical insights and information to stakeholders.
• Administrative Support: Perform other duties as assigned, showcasing your flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Healthcare Experience: 2-4 years of healthcare-related experience, preferably in medical billing, claims, or account processing.
• Education: An Associate's degree is preferred, demonstrating a foundational understanding of the healthcare industry.
• Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
• Work Environment: Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, with a high level of productivity and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of medical billing and claims processing, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and best practices.
• Technical Expertise: Experience with medical billing software and systems, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

Training and Schedule

Our comprehensive training program will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this role. Training hours will be Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, for approximately the first 2-3 weeks. After training, you will have the flexibility to choose from two schedules:

• Schedule 1: Monday - Friday, Day Hours
• Schedule 2: Tuesday - Saturday, Day Hours
