About the Role

We are seeking an experienced music teacher to join our team as a Faculty Member, teaching small group classes in one or more of our partner schools in Saint Louis, MO. As a music teacher with Music Kids LLC, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the primary education system and inspire young minds to develop a love for music. You will be responsible for teaching beginning level violin, piano, and guitar classes, as well as managing student records, providing meaningful learning updates to parents, and supporting students virtually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach small group classes in violin, piano, and guitar to students of various age groups, including beginning level students (3-5 years old)
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and progression
  • Manage student records, track progress, and provide regular updates to parents
  • Support students virtually and provide additional learning resources as needed
  • Promote the program and drive enrollment at partner school events throughout the year
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with industry best practices
  • Collaborate with senior resident Faculty Members and staff to ensure program success and growth

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 1-2 years of teaching experience in music classes or a traditional classroom setting
  • Ability to teach more than one instrument at a beginning level, or ideally all three (violin, piano, and guitar)
  • Strong interest in working with a wide range of student age groups, especially beginning level students
  • Passion for having a direct impact on the primary education system
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with students, parents, and staff
  • Reliability, organization, and timeliness, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Friendly verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience with leadership or project management
  • Ability to work independently and represent the organization as an employee at partner schools
  • Comfort working daily in email, internal instant messaging, company databases, digital timekeeping, and other online resources to manage activities
  • Ownership of a car to commute to/from partner schools (optional in some cases, but strongly preferred)

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,760 - $68,640 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
