Job Overview

The Remote Customer Service Representative (Hybrid) position at blithequark is an exciting opportunity for those who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and making a positive impact on people's lives. As a CSR, you will be responsible for communicating with borrowers, responding to inbound calls and chats, and making outbound calls to provide personalized support and guidance on federal student loan programs. Your goal will be to provide an exceptional customer experience, resolve customer inquiries, take loan payments, and offer repayment options to help borrowers manage their student loan debt effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming borrower calls, chats, and make outbound calls in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Counsel and inform borrowers about their repayment options, deferments, and forbearance eligibility, taking payments and updating borrower accounts efficiently
  • Locate needed information quickly and minimize hold times to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Maintain the security and privacy of borrower information, protecting both the borrower and blithequark's partners
  • Work an 8-hour shift with a 1-hour lunch break and two 15-minute breaks, ensuring productivity and focus throughout the day
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills, including the ability to multitask and type while talking

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with some college or a bachelor's degree preferred
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment cognitive and personality assessment
  • Eligibility to obtain a Federal 5C Security Clearance and credit check
  • Residency in or near the Dallas-Fort Worth area
  • Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Access to home internet with at least 10 mg capacity and a router for an ethernet cord
  • A dedicated workspace at home that is free from noise and distractions

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a remote or call center environment
  • Knowledge of federal student loan programs and repayment options
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
