Job Overview

The Festival Digital Operations Coordinator will provide essential remote support to our Digital Operations team, working closely with the Director, Collab and Digital Operations. This temporary position, available from November 18, 2024, to February 4, 2025, offers a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and exciting environment, with a variable hour schedule of 20-32 hours per week. You will be required to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet shift needs and respond to on-call requirements, ensuring the success of our film festival events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Digital Ops team in entering film and screening data into our Content Management System (CMS), ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support the process of setting up and maintaining quality assurance (QA) for product rules in the Eventive streaming platform, collaborating with the team to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Lead the process of setting up the Jury site, enabling jury members to watch films and select award winners, and provide technical support as needed.
  • Support the online film QA process, working with the Digital Ops team and volunteers to ensure all films are watched, signed off on, and reassigned as necessary.
  • Create and update documentation, including the CMS User Guide, to help team members and stakeholders understand our processes and systems.
  • During the Festival, work alongside the Digital Ops team to provide support to the Sundance Tech teams, Eventive teams, Customer Support team, and Ticketing team, resolving issues and editing product rules as needed.
  • Complete a comprehensive written wrap report, summarizing your experiences and providing insights for future improvements.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • 1-2 years of project coordination experience, with a strong understanding of digital operations and media streaming devices (e.g., Zoom and YouTube).
  • Ability to type 30 words per minute (WPM) and maintain a high level of accuracy in your work.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and maintain a suitable home work environment free from noise and distractions.
