About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Junior Bookkeeper to join our remote team. As a Junior Bookkeeper with VersaTel Solutions, you will have the opportunity to work with a vibrant community of professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional results. Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Bookkeeper with VersaTel Solutions, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting other bookkeepers with current clients to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Reconciling accounts on a monthly basis to maintain accurate financial records
- Producing monthly Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and projections to support informed decision-making
- Collaborating with the team to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Utilizing QuickBooks, Excel, and Google Suite proficiently to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices
- At least 4 years of experience with QuickBooks, with the ability to navigate the software with ease and accuracy
- At least 2 years of experience in governmental accounting, with a understanding of the unique requirements and regulations of government contracting
- At least 2 years of experience with payroll, with the ability to manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with Excel and Google Suite, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems
- An HR background is helpful, but not mandatory, as we value diversity and transferable skills
- Certification is a plus, but not a requirement, as we prioritize experience and skills over formal certifications
