Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Teammate to join our team. As a Sales Teammate, you'll be responsible for providing legendary service to our Guests, generating sales, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Generation and Guest Service: Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and consistently provide legendary service to each Guest. Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise, recommend products, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires.
  • Visual Merchandise Management: Present merchandise in a manner that will maximize sales and achieve optimum merchandise turn. Stay current on product range, work with other Teammates and Guests to identify product improvements, new product ideas, and new product feedback.
  • Operations: Open and close cash registers, use magnetic card readers, perform tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits. Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
  • Teammate Recruiting, Training, and Development: Consistently recognize recruiting opportunities by utilizing Jobs & Careers cards, email referrals, and Teammate Recommend. Create relationships through Guest Loyalty and Guest Preferred, and maintain a professional and respectful attitude at all times creating a positive floor culture.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with Guests, Teammates, and management.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills: Ability to generate sales, provide legendary service, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Visual merchandising skills: Ability to present merchandise in a manner that will maximize sales and achieve optimum merchandise turn.
  • Basic math skills: Ability to accurately handle cash, operate a cash register, and perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Previous retail experience: Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in a sales or customer service role.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising principles: Knowledge of visual merchandising principles, including product placement, display, and signage.
  • Basic computer skills: Basic computer skills, including the ability to use a point-of-sale system and navigate a web-based application.
