Job Overview As an Entry Level Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will be responsible for inputting data and making changes to existing data figures in our digital databases. Your duties will include inputting data from paper documents into digital spreadsheets, updating order statuses for customers, and double-checking your work to ensure accuracy. You will be working with a variety of tools and software, including Microsoft Office and database management systems. If you have experience working in a Data Entry Clerk position, that's a plus, but we're also happy to train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities • Keep information confidential and adhere to blithequark's data protection policies • Insert customer and account data by inputting text-based and numerical information from source documents within time limits • Compile, verify the accuracy, and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible, and check the output • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents • Apply data program techniques and procedures to ensure data integrity • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations, and perform backup operations • Scan documents and print files when needed Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of touch typing systems and database management tools. You should be able to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately, with a strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
