Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles. • Strong hands-on experience with AWS CloudWatch (dashboards, metrics, logs, alarms, and EMF). • Familiarity with New Relic or similar APM tools. • Experience instrumenting applications for telemetry and custom metrics (e.g., via CloudWatch SDK, OpenTelemetry, or custom agents). • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Node.js, Java, or C#). • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EC2, CloudFormation, and IAM. • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating monitoring into deployment workflows. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with client development teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing. • Familiarity with AWS Observability Accelerator or AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT). • Knowledge of logging and monitoring strategy across multi-account or multi-region AWS environments. • Experience developing reusable CloudWatch dashboard templates. Key Deliverables • Inventory and mapping of existing New Relic dashboards and metrics. • Documented migration plan with CloudWatch equivalents. • Fully functional CloudWatch dashboards and alerts for production and non-production environments. • Updated application instrumentation and logging configurations. • Knowledge transfer documentation and handoff to client operations/development teams.
