Job Overview

The Data Entry Operator position is an entry-level role that is production-oriented, requiring individuals to introduce data into our system, which is then provided to clients for use in their internal adjudication systems. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with excellent typing skills, who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. As a Data Entry Operator at blithequark, you will be responsible for entering data from scanned and/or processed images into our data capture system, meeting expected hourly production volume goals, and maintaining quality levels above minimums set by management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter data from scanned and/or processed images into the data capture system with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Meet expected hourly production volume goals and maintain quality levels above minimums set by management.
  • Increase speed and difficulty of tasks as expected with training and practice, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain awareness of and actively participate in the Corporate Compliance Program, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workstation, contributing to a productive and organized work environment.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support team objectives.
  • Maintain prompt and dependable attendance, with excellent reliability in task completion and follow-up.

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a combination of essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, with a strong foundation in basic mathematical skills and computer literacy.
  • Health claims processing experience, including use of claims processing software and related tools, is highly preferred.
  • Proficient typing skills, with a minimum of 35 words per minute and 98% accuracy, are required (typing test will be administered).
  • Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with fluctuating workloads.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, and HIPAA regulations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and best practices is also preferred.
