About the Role

As a Customer Service Officer at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our fund members, ensuring their inquiries are handled with care and professionalism. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office, where you will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality service, building strong relationships with our members, and ensuring their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails from fund members, providing factual information to assist with inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Actively listen to members to gain a practical understanding of their situation, empathize with their concerns, and provide personalized support and guidance.
  • Build rapport with members and offer empathetic assistance, ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout their interaction with blithequark.
  • Ensure enquiries requiring follow-up are placed in the relevant queue for further action, and document client issues and escalate them to appropriate parties to resolve in a timely manner.
  • Research and respond to customer inquiries, utilizing all reference material necessary to provide an informed response to the customer, and respond formally to correspondence, either verbally or in writing.

Essential Qualifications

  • Outstanding communication, active listening, and customer service skills, with the willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Proven experience in handling high work volumes, preferably within a customer service, call centre, or similar environment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in the pursuit of a solution, with the ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Computer literacy and capacity to use online information systems, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to hold a conversation and interact with our members in a professional and courteous manner.
  • The ability to produce well-written correspondence, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in financial services and/or the superannuation industry would be well regarded, but is not essential, and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
