Director, Production Planning

This is a role that reports directly to the Head of Reagent Manufacturing / Newark Delaware Site and well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Director of Production Planning, you will be responsible for: Leading Master Planning, Scheduling and SAP Tier 2 functions with a team of approximately 12 personnel with at least 6 direct reports. All Production Planning and Scheduling for production activities in Glasgow Plant operations. The site manufactures over 800 finished good products and 2500+ intermediates. Developing and implementing planning strategies, standard processes and related procedures that align with the organization's goals and objectives and deliver efficient and effective customer experience. Ensuring collaboration and coordination with Global Supply Planning and Demand planning organizations to drive the right size production to meet customer needs. Ensuring on-time delivery of product to our primary distribution centers. You will utilize tactical implementation of inventory levels of in-process inventory to maintain both delivery and inventory Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Collaborating with Operational Procurement and Operations to support the capacity planning of operational resources (materials/tools/equipment/people) to ensure alignment with demand, proper contingency and surge to maintain supply. Developing and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will be a member of the Plant’s Consumable Leadership Team to ensure proper coordination of the different Manufacturing functions producing our Diagnostic Testing Products. Develops annual plant volumes for organizational budgeting. Enhancing and developing KPI’s to measure the plant’s supply performance. Working with SAP, Kinaxis, Power BI and evaluating new software & reporting solutions to drive performance for production planning. Leading initiatives to improve supply delivery & improving production synchronization to ensure efficient coordination of materials and resources used in manufacturing processes. Acting as an advisor who troubleshoots and resolves extremely complex problems within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas. Analyzing effectiveness of policies and establishes future direction for functional policies and programs to ensure alignment with Plant and Strategic goals of the company. You have very good presentation skills, show team orientation, communication skills, and internal and external customer orientation. Required skills to have for the success of this role: Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 10+ years leading teams for Materials Management; including experience in regulated healthcare consumables industry. The base pay range for this position is: Min $158,300 - Max $237,440 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
