Key Responsibilities

As an Email and Chat Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing a variety of services to our online shoppers through the application of your knowledge of our organization, its services, and products. Your primary goal will be to resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional, patient, and optimistic manner. Your duties will include:

  • Reviewing support requests and clarifying customer complaints to determine the best course of action
  • Determining the cause of problems and selecting the most effective solutions to resolve them
  • Updating customer accounts and records according to customer issues and ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Communicating with the team and other departments within blithequark to solve problems and ensure seamless customer experiences
  • Expedite corrections or adjustments as needed and following up to ensure that resolutions have been implemented successfully
  • Recognizing, documenting, and alerting management to trends and recommending process improvements to enhance our customer service operations
  • Providing on-the-job training for new employees and coordinating with merchant affiliate networks to ensure that our customers receive the best possible support

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent is preferred
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience, preferably in the high-tech/internet industry
  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to respond to customer inquiries in a professional and accurate manner
  • Proficient problem-solving ability, with strong word processing and typing skills (50 WPM or higher)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, email programs, and internet navigation
  • Persistence, determination, and a firm but friendly manner when dealing with customers

Preferred qualifications include experience working in a call center or retail environment, data entry experience, and knowledge of technical/keyboard shortcuts.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
