As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring that insurance policies are accurately drafted, closed in a timely manner, and that client relationships and service levels are maintained.

Job Summary

The main function of a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark is to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of insurance policies. This includes reviewing source documents, entering data into proprietary software, and verifying the accuracy of data before it is entered. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for quality control, locating and correcting data entry errors, and ensuring that all policy documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review source documents such as Acord applications, emails, and Excel documents, and enter data into proprietary software to issue insurance transactions
  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered
  • Responsible for quality control by locating and correcting data entry errors
  • Ensure all policy documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with company policies
  • Contact and communicate with internal partners via phone, email, MS TEAMS, or in person as needed
  • Perform tasks related to Loss Runs, Declinations/Close Outs, Renewal Conversions, and Renewal Prep (for Ancillary Group)

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 0-3 years of related business experience required
  • Must be computer savvy, able to navigate multiple screens, and proficient in the following computer applications: Word, Outlook, and Excel (column sorting, cell formatting)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in an insurance or related industry
  • Knowledge of WebEx and other remote collaboration tools
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with a combination of office and remote work

Hybrid Schedule

We offer a hybrid schedule, with a combination of office and remote work. For the first two weeks, you will be required to work in the office to sort out any IT issues and for training. After that, you will have the flexibility to work from home two days a week, and will be required to work in the office three days a week.
