Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team at blithequark. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining all client records, charts, and files, ensuring the accountability, confidentiality, and security of sensitive information. Your duties will include performing billing and admissions data entry work, collecting and processing assessment fees from clients, and generating reports as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, charts, and files, both physical and digital
  • Ensure the confidentiality, security, and accountability of all client information and records
  • Perform data entry tasks, including billing and admissions, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collect, process, and secure assessment fees from clients, maintaining accurate records and generating reports as required
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including preparing and maintaining spreadsheets, reports, and other documents
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of blithequark's policies, procedures, and systems, including database management and software applications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and abilities, including:

  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, including data entry, record-keeping, and administrative support
  • Proficiency in computer operations, including database management and software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain the confidential nature of the position and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or G.E.D., combined with at least two years of general office experience, including typing and/or keypunching data into a computer. Equivalent combinations of training and experience may also be considered.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

This role is typically performed in a seated position, with occasional standing or walking. You will need to be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, perform basic mathematical equations, and sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically. You will also need to be able to operate office equipment, including computers and software applications, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements and work a regular schedule
  • Ability to lift and carry light objects (less than 25 lbs.) as required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
