We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we're committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment that values and respects all individuals. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you'll be responsible for: * Registering sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service * Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested; processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Performing duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions * Reporting, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhering to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program * Handling telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians * Processing (correcting and resubmitting) manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performing other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager * Assisting and supporting Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves) * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers **Essential Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) * Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours * Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively * Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information **Preferred Qualifications** * Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment * Prefer prior work experience with blithequark * Prefer good math skills so they can fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications * Prefer good computer skills * Prefer knowledge of store inventory control * Prefer PTCB certification **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong customer service skills and ability to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
