Job Overview

The Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing team at blithequark is responsible for the single largest source of revenue: Merchant Discount Revenue. As a Financial Analyst, you will be part of a dynamic team that works closely with numerous stakeholders to determine the optimal pricing to enable merchant acceptance of blithequark while striving to improve coverage and merchant satisfaction. Your role will be critical in driving GMS revenue and profit growth through customer-driven pricing principles, more flexible pricing architecture, and innovative pricing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a Canada figure for merchant discount revenue and track monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change.
  • Develop merchant discount revenue scorecards for the Canada region.
  • Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing teams for all reporting and forecasting related activities.
  • Support external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing teams that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount rate trends and uncover insights.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles.
  • A Bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred in Finance/Accounting/Business.
  • High proficiency with Excel is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Strong analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large set of financial data.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
