About the Role
As a Data Scientist at blithequark, you will be responsible for leading the evolution of Customer Service metrics, identifying key performance indicators, and developing strategies to drive business growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including executives, Product Managers, Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Finance, to foster a data-driven decision-making culture within the organization. Your expertise in statistical analysis, data modeling, and metrics development will be instrumental in informing business decisions and optimizing customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and refinement of Customer Service metrics, identifying "north star" metrics and strategies to drive them
- Apply critical thinking and statistical techniques to solve complex business problems and inform data-driven decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement metrics frameworks, experimentation, and research initiatives
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to expand the use of Customer Service metrics across blithequark, uncovering insights and opportunities for growth
- Develop and maintain complex data models, leveraging SQL, Python, and other programming languages to analyze and visualize data
- Communicate technical concepts and recommendations to diverse audiences, including Engineering, Product, and senior leadership
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Strong statistical knowledge and intuition, with applied experience in developing business-centric metrics frameworks
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages, such as Python
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with a range of measurement and prediction techniques, including correlation analysis, observational causal inference, forecasting, and quasi-experimentation
- Comfort working with complex data, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
- A desire to learn and become an expert in Customer Service, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences

Compensation and Benefits
