JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State New Kensington invites applications for a faculty position in Radiological Sciences to begin August 2023. This is a full-time (48 weeks) appointment at the rank of lecturer (master?s degree) or assistant teaching professor (Ph.D.). This is a one-year, non-tenure track, appointment with the possibility of renewal dependent upon program needs.

Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment, interest in active and collaborative learning and instructional use of technology, and enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirement of M.S. degree in Biology, Health Science or a related field from a regionally accredited institution. Minimum of three years? full-time experience as a Radiologic Technologist and two years? experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program in Radiologic Technology. R.T. (R), ARRT certifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for teaching courses in the Radiological Sciences associates degree program. Assigned duties may include coordinating or co-coordinating clinical education components of the program requirements. Assigned duties may also include supporting, co-coordinating, or coordinating effective program operations, recruitment and retention activities, curriculum development and assessment, and ongoing program accreditation processes. Full-time faculty are expected to participate in campus, university, and community service activities, and engage in professional development to remain current in the field. Teaching assignments may include traditional, hybrid and online delivery methods and may require teaching day, evening and/or Saturday classes as needed.

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS:

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review .
