Job Summary
The individual selected for this position will be responsible for teaching and coordinating the laboratory portion of introductory-level soil and crop science courses as needed and assist in the recruitment and professional development of undergraduate students in the Department of Crop, Soil, & Environmental Sciences.

Essential Functions
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare supplies and materials for tasks that students are to perform during the course lab.
- Teach both lecture and labs when CSES 2040 is fully enrolled in the summer; teach one lab section of CSES 2040 during Fall and Spring semesters.
- Oversee and secure inventory used in labs of courses.
- Train and supervise graduate teaching assistants for introductory soil and crop science courses.
- Ensure high levels of safety and efficiency of lab operations and provide security of equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Level I: Masters degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Crop Science, or closely related field; no experience required.
Level II: Masters degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Crop Science, or closely related field plus 2 years experience in the coordination of lab operations, procedures, and instruction.
Level III: Masters degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Crop Science, or closely related field plus 4 years experience in the coordination of lab operations, procedures, and instruction.
Substitutions allowed for Experience:
When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.

Salary Range $42,700 - $68,300
