While this consultant concept was brought to life over 50 yrs. ago, it has been re-enlivened and applied to the state hospital model of care.



Our services provide comprehensive assessments and detailed recommendations to the respective treatment teams. These will include specific psychopharmacologic, medical, behavioral, and other evidence-based interventions and the relevant staff education and training to facilitate their implementations. Our ward Staff members provide direct care, specialized services, and evidence-based individual/group therapies to adults with severe psychiatric conditions.

King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use.



Some of what you'll do:



  • Completing assessments of violence and forensic risk

  • Consulting with the team and other stakeholders regarding risk and risk mitigation

  • Providing court testimony (where applicable)

  • Completing required documentation according to professional, hospital, and CMS standards

What we're looking for:

Professionals with a doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited school or department of psychology and preferably two years of doctoral experience working in an inpatient or forensic setting with people who experience severe mental illness. Individuals with formal training in forensic/psychological testing are preferred.
