Job Summary for SAT / ACT Exam Prep Teacher/Tutor

One of the key differentiators of Huntington Learning Center is our teachers. Unlike some tutoring organizations, Huntington hires certified teachers. You will work 1:1 with High School Students as they prepare for the SAT or ACT. You will be provided a complete curriculum and will work through each session as prescribed. As the "face" of the center you will have direct contact with students, families, and other staff.As a result, the ideal candidate can easily form strong relationships and flex when needed. This role is part-time and reports to the Owner/Center Director.

Teacher/Tutor requirements and qualifications:

• Must have a 4-year degree to qualify (teaching certification/license is preferred).
• All experience levels are welcome - recent grads, current teachers, retired professionals.
• Enthusiastic, outgoing, and team-oriented personality.
• Must demonstrate care and compassion towards children.
• Motivation to take the initiative to ensure that a student?s time at Huntington is memorable.
• A confident and flexible demeanor.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Afternoon and Evening hours are preferred.
