Oversee the day-to-day operations of the University tuition collection efforts and applicable reconciliations. Ensure all tuition collection processes are completed. Supervise tuition collections staff and ensure adherence to regulatory, University and departmental processes. Responsible for ensuring timely processing of incoming payments. Provide high-level customer service for tuition collections activity. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor?s Degree in Business or Accounting and at least three (3) years collection and student loan experience. Experience using MS word, power point and advanced knowledge of MS Excel. Knowledge of the current FDPCA rules. Supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

  • Ability to handle difficult customers in a calm and professional manner.
  • Requires an excellent technical aptitude and a willingness to learn. * Excellent judgment and ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with developing and documenting new processes and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Developed analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends, if necessary.
Preferred:
  • Banner experience.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
