Job Summary
The online and post traditional affairs director develops and oversees a suite of services and other resources for online and post-traditional students that support their transfer, transition, and success at Lindenwood.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators
The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Provides strategic direction and oversight to a team of success coaches to achieve student success and persistence benchmarks
- Develops and oversees process for creating personalized roadmaps to success for each online and post traditional learner
- Works with Enrollment Management to maintain timely and efficient student registration.
- Works with Student Financial Services and the Provost to ensure that student SAP and Academic Appeals are processed in a timely manner
- Serves as a go-to person for complex issues related to program navigation, including re-enrollment, changing majors, and discussing options
- Oversees stop-out and leave of absence processes
- Supports the credit for prior learning and prior learning assessment processes
- In collaboration with the Associate Vice President, Online Student Experience, develops or identifies self-paced, online opportunities for learner to develop competency in certain areas
- Coordinates skills and proficiency testing for this population of students
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence

- Sets clear expectations for admissions personnel in regard to goal attainment, department standards, travel assignments, and the University?s mission
- Develops employees? skill sets and provides ideal professional growth opportunities
- Manages human resources reporting and personnel matters for assigned staff, including but not limited to time cards, overtime approval, and absence requests
- Assists with interview, hiring, and training processes; conducts annual employee evaluations based on evidence, observation, and feedback
- Works within a team to support the enrollment and retention goals for online and post traditional learners.
- Supports the director, online and post traditional affairs in implementing Life Design components into the coaching and mentoring resources.
- Provides support and mentorship to the online and post traditional success coaches as needed.
Required Qualifications ? An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelor?s degree
- Supervisory experience of full-time employees
- Minimum of 5 years? direct experience coaching, mentoring, and advising adult and/or online learners
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills
- A deep understanding of the needs and preferences of adult and online learners, as well as the many factors influencing their success in higher education
- A keen ability to empathize, build confidence, and develop rapport with students.
- An intrinsic drive to work as part of a team to achieve targets.
- General office setting
- Non-standard working hours may be required to serve students in other time zones or with busy schedules
- Ability to work effectively at a computer for up to eight hours daily
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function
