The Associate Director for Connected Battlespace and Emerging Capabilities (CBEC) Strategic Deterrence-Command, Control and Communications, reports to the Sr. Director of CBEC Campaigns and Emerging Capabilities. The position will be accountable to research, evaluate, identify, and plan for demonstrations and experimentations supporting Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) operations and emerging National Leadership Command Capabilities (NLCC) communications architectures. Evaluate and incubate concepts/technologies for adjacent and emerging markets. This position will be part of a team to execute integrated campaigns across all DoD JADC2 initiatives such as ABMS, Project Overmatch, Project Convergence, and Space Force National Defense Space Architecture, and National/Combined Command and Control. This position will accomplish all aspects of business development for the Connected Battlespace and Emerging Capabilities organization including but not limited to campaign planning, competitive analysis, contact planning, market shaping and influencing, demonstration planning, CONOPS decomposition and understanding. Prior experience working across organizational boundaries is desired.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have/be:

Have a strong working knowledge of NC3 and NLCC systems, concepts, and architectures

Strong demonstrated background in NC3 & Senior Leader Communications C2 structure, networks, and policy

OPLAN/OPORD/CONOPS/CONEMP expert for Strategic Deterrence

Experience at the military Service or COCOM or above level in organizations such as CJCS, OSD, OPNAV/HAF, STRATCOM, NORTHCOM/INDO-PACOM

The ideal candidate will have had staff experience with US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and reside in the vicinity of USSTRATCOM

Have a functional understanding of U.S. DoD communication networks and effectors and the associated platforms among all domains

Represent the Connected Battlespace Experimentation & Demonstration team as the NC3/Strategic Deterrence subject matter expert (SME) on multi- domain, joint and coalition networked operations, Command and Control, Air Battle Management in support of national warfighting initiatives

Contribute to strategy development within the Life Cycle Value Stream Manager triad to shape, define, pursue and capture new business in the NC3/NLCC/JADC2 market space

Be responsible for developing, forecasting, and capturing new/existing opportunities and maintaining relationships with new and existing military service customers

Develop, present and articulate compelling business growth opportunities

Continually explore the environment for business and strategic growth opportunities

Function with minimal supervision on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments

Professional verbal and writing, presentation skills mandatory

Willing to travel up to 30%

Basic Requirements:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or

An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or

In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

The ability to obtain a U.S. government issued Top Secret or TS / SCI Security Clearance is preferred

The salary range for this role is 139,000 USD - 277,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate?s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
