The Opportunity

As a Principal Engineer at Marvell you are recognized as a technical expert and authority that others, especially those less-experienced, can seek for technical guidance, feedback, and solutions. In joining the Networking & Connectivity (N&C) Product Engineering team, you become a key stakeholder and decision-maker for the projects you are entrusted to lead to MPR with high quality and ROI. You are also a key contributor, providing technical input and analysis, in the development of team/company objectives and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

Day-to-day responsibilities of N&C Product Engineers at Marvell includes, but is not limited to, the following:
  • ATE Analysis, DoE, and Debug
  • SPC, SQC, and DPPM analysis
  • NPI IC Test Coordination w/ local and global teams
  • Customer RMA support for ATE analysis and closure
  • Leading NPI Team Discussions and Activities for Operations Engineering
  • NPI Health and Status Documentation
  • Engineering Reports Generation
N&C Principal Product Engineers in particular are entrusted to lead projects of greater complexity, mentoring other engineers in their domain expertise, and serve as technical consultants for solving wide-reaching, cross-project issues.

Requirements:

In-person, on-site presence at Marvell's Santa Clara facilities and Fremont testfloor is required and accounts for
60% of day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Hybrid work arrangements are possible and determined based on feasibility
  • Full Remote work is not feasible due to the nature of NPI activities and required use of ATE Hardware and Equipment
Education and Experience requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10+ years of professional work experience in the SEMI/IC industry
OR * Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5+ years of professional work experience in the SEMI/IC industry

A solid foundation in Operations Engineering NPI is required to be successful in this role and you will be asked to demonstrate or convey the depth of your knowledge and skills in the following:
  • NPI-to-MPR Cycle and Business Acumen
  • Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) driven Problem Solving
  • DPPM, SPC, and SQC
  • Strategic Planning and Prioritization
  • ATE Analysis, DoE, and Debug
Demonstrating or conveying Work Experience with the following are a strong plus:
  • Agilent 93K ATE Platform
  • Project Success Method (PSM) driven planning
  • Automation of work processes and/or data collection
  • Automotive-grade NPI
  • Data Analytics tools and software such as JMP and SiliconDash
Strong Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication Skills are required to be successful in this role and you will be asked to demonstrate or convey your strength in the following:

Expected Base Pay Range (USD) 124,240 - 186,100, $ per annum

The successful candidate?s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
