What you will do:



The Contracts Specialist demonstrates the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment to support the contracting process, including drafting, redline review, negotiation, issue spotting and resolution, and follow through to contract execution and retention. This role partners closely with team leadership and legal counsel to support contracting opportunities and will work within the framework of sales, contracting, legal, finance, and sales operations strategies, legal/administrative regulations, and company policies & procedures to guide internal stakeholders through the decision-making process and contracting experience.

  • Draft, edit, review, and negotiate complex agreements with minimal supervision, in a manner that manages business and legal risk while effectively supporting our internal and external customers in a timely manner and fast-paced environment;

  • Provide excellent, time-sensitive, solutions-oriented, strategic contracting support to internal and external stakeholders;

  • Exhibit solid negotiation skills, including comfort in negotiating contract terms with customers;

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales, finance, operations, and attorney stakeholders across the decentralized organization (as applicable);

  • Serve as a contracting and negotiating expert to other areas within the organization, as required;

  • Exercise excellent judgment in identifying and escalating issues to management and/or for legal review in a timely manner;

  • Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of Stryker?s product lines, competitive environment and customers to better support functional initiatives and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders;

  • Monitor and track status of contract-related matters and proactively provide updates as requested;

  • Identify system or process improvements that increase efficiency, compliance, or reduce cost to the business;

  • Serve as a liaison between Stryker business units and Legal and foster two-way communication of evolving business needs, challenges, and opportunities.

What you need:

  • Bachelor?s degree or six years of equivalent work experience (non-degreed) required

  • Contract experience strongly preferred, specifically within sales contracting

  • Strong customer service abilities and responsiveness to the internal customers required

  • Healthcare industry experience is helpful

$65,400 to $132,300 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401k, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.



Travel Percentage: 10%
