Job description: Wolters Kluwer is seeking a Principal Architect to work within a thriving and maturing Architecture Practice. You will lead the transformation of Wolters Kluwer digital assets supporting our Tax and Account Division.



The primary focus of this role is to partner with our WK Business Divisions Leaders with the objective to influence and shape the divisions strategic direction in their consumption of technology while supporting our enterprise goals.



The secondary focus will be to take support the Architecture Practice in implementing the strategy through execution via strategic programs such Disaster Recovery, Network Transformation, Datacenter Consolidation / Journey to the Cloud, etc.. Finally, ensuring a smooth transition to Operations to provide quality support services possible are delivered back to the business.



This is an individual contributor role that reports to the Director, Architecture - Enterprise. This is a remote position. #LI-Remote



You Will:



Lead Strategy and Architecture:



Develop organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for methods and tools. Sets direction and leads in the introduction and use of techniques, methodologies and tools, to meet business requirements. Leads the development of organizational capabilities for methods and tools to ensure consistent adoption and adherence to policies and standards.



Develop enterprise-wide architecture and processes to embed the strategic application of change in the management of the organization. Lead the creation and review of a systems capability strategy that meets the strategic requirements of the business. Develops and presents business cases for approval, funding and prioritization of high-level initiatives. Sets strategies, policies, standards and practices to ensure compliance between business strategies, technology strategies, and enterprise transformation activities.



Implement the governance framework to enable governance activity to be conducted. Within a defined area of accountability, determine the requirements for appropriate governance reflecting our values, ethics and wider governance frameworks.



Develop and Implement:



Produce, or approve network providers', network architectures, topologies and configuration databases for own area of responsibility. Specifies design parameters for network connectivity, capacity, speed, interfacing, security and access, in line with business requirements. Assesses network-related risks and specifies recovery routines and contingency procedures. Creates multiple design views to address the different stakeholders' concerns and to handle both functional and non-functional requirements.



Devises and implements master data management processes for specific subsets of data. Assesses the integrity of data from multiple sources. Provide advice on the transformation of data from one format/medium to another. Maintains and implements information handling procedures. Enables the availability, integrity and searchability of information through the application of formal data and metadata structures and protection measures.



Lead the development of comprehensive stakeholder management strategies and plans. Build long-term, strategic relationships with senior stakeholders (internal and external).



Change and Transform:



Plan and drive scoping, requirements definition and prioritization activities for large initiatives. Selects, adopts and adapts appropriate requirements definition and management methods, tools and techniques. Contributes to the development of organizational methods and standards for requirements management. Obtains input from, and agreement to requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders.



You Have:



Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field



More than 15 years IT Experience



More than 10 years? experience within an Architecture Role



At least 5 years leadership experience



Recent experience within Architecture, Design and implementation of complex, highly available and highly scalable solutions



Recent experience defining and working within Agile & DevOPS environments



Recent experience working within a CI & CD environments and defining and tooling and Repositories



Recent experience in Cloud Computing



Enterprise-wide Architectural governance, architecture decisions, exceptions, standards etc



Developing complex business cases.



AWS Certified Solution Architect



Azure Certified Solution Architecture



Scaled AGILE, DSDM



Information Security



Networking Technologies



Industry Compliance (HIPPA, SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc)
