PeaceHealth is seeking a Labor Relations Analyst for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $29.48 - $44.22. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.
This is a remote position, however the incumbent must reside in OR, WA, AK or TX by date of hire.
JOB SUMMARY
This role provides support to the Labor Relations team and members with PeaceHealth's collective bargaining teams. The purpose of this position is to help guide collective bargaining through strategic problem-solving research. This position partners with a cross-functional team of compensation experts, benefits professionals, human resource business partners and others in support of strategic initiatives.
As part of our Labor Relations team, the data analyst will produce business data from numerous sources and make sense of it by conducting data manipulation, data cleaning, data analysis, and data presentation. The analyst will drive leaders towards actionable insights and visualize findings in a way that drive labor negotiations toward the best achievable outcomes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Extracts data from various databases; performs exploratory data analysis, cleanses, massages, and aggregates data.
- Participates in discussions that help define business questions and consults on appropriate reporting strategy to meet their objectives
- Identifies patterns and trends in data, and tells compelling stories with data visuals and exhibits. Builds dashboards, and maintains applications and databases in support of compensation initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Human Resources and Labor Relations initiatives, policies, and practices that contribute to positive labor and employee relations. Provide consultation and guidance to management and non-management employees.
- Identifies best practices and process improvement opportunities with viable options for implementation and cost savings for the organization.
- Creates and maintains impactful visual representations of analytic insights and concise summaries of methodology geared to audience needs; presents selected portions to stakeholders
- Contributes to analytic project proposals
- Promotes and advocates for value of analytics and data among peers
- Assists with data audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Creates and maintains Excel-based reporting
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance, or related field required, or a combination of education, training, and applicable experience
- Three years of experience in a progressively responsible human resources role, or applicable combination of compensation, analytics, and/or finance experience and education required.
- Highly skilled in reporting and analytics strongly preferred
- Experience in a multi-site healthcare environment preferred
- Experience in Lawson/GHR/Infor preferred
- Exposure and business-applicable experience in KRONOS, Oracle, SQL, Python, PySpark) preferred
- Advanced level of technical expertise in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
- Skilled in one or more preferred: Tableau, Power BI, Quickbase, QlikView or other dashboard analytics tools
- Experience with MarketPay or other market-pricing database tools preferred
- Advanced analytical and qualitative skills - ability to analyze large datasets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as critical thinking skills, required
- Attention to detail in all job-related aspects
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task daily
- Ability to collaborate with leadership and staff
- Knowledge of state and federal wage and hour and pay equity laws
- Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time.
- Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.
- Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.
- Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
