What You Do.
- Collaborates with sales managers at key accounts to capitalize on the customer?s unique value proposition, using a digital-first and integrated market perspective to develop omni-channel strategies
- Effectively builds customer relationships at all appropriate levels of decision makers with key strategic accounts to share omni-channel thought leadership and best practices
- Leads team responsible for the reporting and optimizations of ecommerce sales performance including sales & category share growth, eCommerce SKU/GTIN level performance by retailer, product availability, and average selling price & profitability
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, performance, and profitability
- Analyze promotional and merchandising effectiveness across key measures and prepare recommendations to maximize future business opportunities.
- Strong organizational, strategic, and cross-functional skills needed to interact with the leadership team to drive success.
- Effective negotiation skills that deliver on key Sargento sales initiatives, volume budgets and profit targets while operating within assigned trade spending budgets.
- Serves as subject matter expert, advisor, and consultant to business leaders in the organization. Share best practices and learning from various sources, including seminars, share groups, published reports, etc. to build organizational knowledge and develop eCommerce sales training
- Leverage shopper and syndicated insights to provide recommendations to accelerate eCommerce sales growth.
- Assess competitive market to identify business building opportunities for the Division.
- Utilize comprehensive category management and consumer insight skills to strengthen the company?s thought leadership position within omni-channel
- Effectively coach and motivate sales agency partners at multiple levels and with varying knowledge bases.
- Implement vision and strategies for Sargento Ecommerce to grow online share
- Collaborate with IMC team to deliver customer focused content, update retail sites and monitor execution.
- Work with marketing team to align sales and marketing strategies to drive efficiency and improve performance.
- Travel required ?40-50% overnight.
- Bachelor?s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university required. Master?s Degree preferred.
- 7 + years headquarter sales experience required.
- 2 + years eCommerce sales experience required.
- Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to proactively interpret digital trends and think criticality to challenge the status quo
- Advanced experience in using data to drive decisions and recommendations
- Ability to remain flexible and adapt to rapidly changing business conditions
- Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with persons or groups at varying positions or knowledge.
- Prior sales experience in a capacity working with sales agencies involving cross functional departments.
- Previous experience in customer management developing business case presentations that identify profitable opportunities for future growth.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills along with the ability to manage overlapping and even conflicting priorities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with high attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to gain team followership in inspiring change
- Syndicated data analysis (Nielsen, IRI), Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and excellent presentation skills.
