Job description: Under general supervision of the ILTI teaching team, the Department chair, and the Chief Administrative Officer of Hart Interdisciplinary Programs, serve as the program manager, providing general administrative and clerical support for the UC Davis Department of Native American Studies (NAS) UC systemwide online minor in NAS. Work closely with NAS ILTI faculty and staff to develop and ensure the smooth functioning of the new minor program. Coordinate regular outreach and communication strategies that aid in organizing meetings and events involving faculty, staff, and administrators throughout the UC System. Maintain detailed records pertaining to the minor. Collaborate with the Native American Studies Student Affairs Officer regarding minor requirements, student support, and the articulation of minor courses with graduation requirements at their local campus. This position is eligible for fully online or hybrid work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

? Physical Demands: Sit at desk and computer for extended periods of time. Position requires lifting of recruitment/outreach materials and/or office supplies up to 25lbs. Moving mobile conference room tables and chairs as needed for various activities/presentations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

? Work in a busy environment with frequent interruptions and under the pressure of deadlines.

? Occasional overtime on weekdays and weekends, with supervisor's pre-approval.

? Limited or restricted vacation during peak advising and admissions periods and other critical programmatic deadlines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education/Experience:

? Experience writing, editing, and proofreading communications to faculty, students, and staff in university settings.

? Experience in time management and organization to fulfill overlapping support requests including, but not limited to, event coordination.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

? Ability to demonstrate strong and effective project management skills, including preparation and monitoring of budgets, and event coordination.

? Analytical skills to understand, interpret, and apply a wide variety of University and Program policies and procedures for faculty, students, and staff.

? Skills to collect and analyze statistics, create summary reports, and track student progress and enrollment trends.

? Interpersonal, customer service and communication skills to interact with faculty, staff, students, campus offices, and outside organizations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Education/Experience:

? Experience managing online course programs and familiarity with Academic Technology services (video recording software, Canvas tools, etc.)

? Experience using UC's student information and financial support systems including Kuali Financial System (KFS), KFS Decision Support, AggieBuy, AggieTravel, Integrated Curriculum Management System (ICMS), and other campus web-based tools.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

? Familiarity with Native American Studies and related academic disciplines such as American Indian Studies and Ethnic Studies.

? Skills to supervise student staff.
