Job description: Since conferring its first graduate degree in 1974, the Graduate School at CSU Pueblo has grown to offer more than 20 advanced academic degrees and certificates including two doctoral degrees. The Graduate School provides leadership, coordination, and administrative structure to support all graduate programs at the University and works in partnership with academic units and the Office of Enrollment Management and Extended Studies to provide accurate, responsive, and respectful services to prospective and current students. The Graduate School supports programs in seeking innovative funding for the growth of programs and works with key stakeholders to create innovative pathways for outreach, recruitment, and enrollment of students.The Professional Learning and Career Advancement Coordinator for the Graduate School will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and services to support the professional learning and career advancement of graduate students. This position will work closely with our faculty, staff, and industry partners to identify and create opportunities for our students to navigate graduate school, enhance their skills, develop their careers, and achieve their professional goals. This position will work closely with other units on campus that have similar goals.

This position is funded by a federal grant through fiscal year 2025. Renewal of position funding is contingent upon continued funding of the project, budgetary approvals, and university fiscal sustainability.
Primary Duties
Develop and provide opportunities for students from historically marginalized backgrounds (e.g., first-generation graduate students) to grow in their understanding of how to be successful in higher education.
Coordinate w/ Career Services, Writing Center, and Tutoring Centers (etc.) to offer specialized professional learning opportunities for graduate students.
Create networking and leadership opportunities for graduate students, both within and across programs and with community-based organizations.
Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices in professional development and career advancement of graduate students.
Collaborate with program directors, other graduate school staff, and industry partners to identify workforce and research needs, and develop, and implement programs and services to support professional development and career advancement for graduate students.
Leverage resources and tools to market and advertise professional learning programs and career advancement services.
Provide career coaching and guidance to graduate students.
Maintain accurate records of outreach and attendance at all events and activities.
Utilize data analysis tools to track the effectiveness of professional development programs and services and make recommendations for improvements.

Salary range:
$48,000 - $52,000
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree from regionally accredited (or equivalent) institution in business, education, social work, or related fields
- Strong written communication skills
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience working with and supporting people across diverse backgrounds
- Experience in a productive team-based, project-driven work environment
- Experience in a position or activity that required strong verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
- Experience in a position or activity that required excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited (or equivalent) institution in business, education, social work, or related fields
- Bilingual: verbal and written proficiency in English and Spanish
- Competency in organizational applications such as Teams
- Experience working in a graduate program, an office of graduate studies, or a Graduate School
- Experience in career coaching, professional development, or a related field
- Knowledge of career development and industry trends and best practices
- Experience developing and implementing successful programs and services to support professional development and career advancement
