POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an energetic, highly organized, dynamic professional to join our LCC team. This full-time position is responsible for the overall operations of the Lamar Community College Library and Learning Support Services. Will work closely with, and under the supervision of, the Dean of Academic Services. This position includes budget planning and oversight, library personnel management, and coordination of all library services, both face-to-face and online. This position is responsible for researching, acquiring, and implementing academic learning resources for both students and faculty. Will also take the lead in helping campus identify technologically minded learning. The position is responsible for hiring and supervising all Learning Support Center staff, including Tutoring, Academic Counseling, and Testing. Will lead the team in carrying out LSS annual activities.

As an employee of, and the Colorado Community College System, this position is required to uphold and enforce the policies of LCC and CCCS, and all local, state and federal laws. This position will comply with all student privacy laws (FERPA); and is a mandatory reporter of any suspected illegal activity.

Examples of Duties

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Will coordinate with Academic Services regarding advising and academic success initiatives and provide opportunities to enrich the academic experience of students and community members through library resources, programming, and college/community cooperative activities.
  • Maintaining a close working relationship with the Lamar Public Library.
  • Participate in campus wide activities and initiatives and contribute to the life of the college.
  • Work hours may vary and include evening and weekend hours.
  • This position requires the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, administration, and public entities; to plan, organize, lead, direct, and supervise others; to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; to understand technological trends and its application to learning.
Required Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Work experience in Libraries preferred.
  • Work experience in community college preferred. Leadership and/or management experience preferred.
Supplemental Information

Salary Range: $42,000.00 - $46,00.00 The specific salary will be determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
