Job description: Position Summary:

SPARK Early Literacy program seeks patient, compassionate, driven individuals to join our successful and welcoming team. We serve grades K5-3rd struggling readers using one-on-one 30-minute in-person or virtual tutoring sessions.

Responsibilities:

Follow tutoring schedules for assigned SPARK sites.
  • Monitoring online tutoring sessions and break-out rooms for a minimum of 4 hours daily.
  • Establish and maintain a positive rapport with SPARK staff, students, and parents.
  • Provide guidance and direction to SPARK students needing Zoom room assistance.
  • Maintain professionalism and enthusiasm while hosting, including keeping your camera on the entire time, dressing, and conversing appropriately.
  • Participate in required training by the Club, County, State, and /or funder.
  • Dependability is crucial to this position.
  • You must have excellent Wi-Fi and computer equipment.
  • Conduct virtual tutoring sessions as needed.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in technology, specifically in Zoom video conferencing.
  • The ability to learn and adapt to new technology
  • Experience with computers is necessary to fulfill the functions of this virtual position.
Skills:

Ability to multitask with several individuals at once
  • Strong team collaboration skills
  • Ability and willingness to take direction.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Technology skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to relate effectively with a diverse population.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
