About The Position:

This position performs responsible, diverse paraprofessional clerical work in a support of Network Systems & Engineering Technology. Work is generally diversified requiring judgment to apply broader aspects of established policies, practices and procedures. Individual adapts existing procedures to meet new situations and works independently toward general results, devising new methods as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

Responsible for setting up and maintaining the physical and virtual lab environments as requested by faculty. * Aid students who need technical assistance while working on assignments and projects.
  • Answers lab telephone, provides information and refers calls as appropriate.
  • Provides tutoring assistance if needed.
  • Provide assistance with creating different network scenarios and simulate real-world situations to help learners.
  • help the Network manager oversee the allocation of resources, schedule lab sessions, and ensure that everyone gets fair access to the lab facilities.
This position is a level C13. Please see starting salary range below. To determine starting salary, Polk State College takes into consideration the pay level minimum, the candidate's qualifications and internal equity factors.

Required Education:

Graduation from a standard high school (or equivalent). Required Experience

Preferred Experience:

At least one year of clerical experience.
