Job description:
- Ability to obtain an Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education.
- Able to use a computer.
- Good organization skills.
- Ability to work co-operatively with other personnel.
- Ability to perform clerical skills including, but not limited to filing, copying, and record keeping.
- Must be punctual.
- A working knowledge of devices and equipment commonly used in public schools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to successfully complete CPR/First Aid training.
- Ability to work with a variety of student disabilities.
- Ability to perform all items as listed in the essential duties.
- Experience working with children with emotional and physical disabilities preferred.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to operate wheelchairs and other mechanical devices designed to aid the student with a disability; or possess the ability to learn.
- Ability to communicate clearly and articulately.
- Validation of qualifications as determined by interview.
- Other relevant criteria determined by the Board of Education, Superintendent and/or designee.
- Ability to attend Restraint training per ORC.
