Wound Management



Patient Population:



Adults 18yrs or older



Venous and Arterial Ulcers



Diabetic/Neuropathic Foot Ulcers



Post-Surgical



Wound Dehiscence



Soft Tissue/Necrotic Wounds



Ostomy Teaching



Ostomy Complications/Wounds



Many more?



Department Specifics:



Newly renovated clinic with 5 large exam rooms to accommodate a variety of wound and ostomy care needs



A large and comfortable patient waiting room



2 spacious physician and nursing work stations



3 Staff offices



A large break room/conference room to accommodate meetings and in-services



Physician staff consisting of Podiatry, Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, and an Adult and Geriatric Wound and Ostomy Care Certified Nurse Practitioner



Quick referral access to Vascular and Plastic Surgery offices



An outpatient clinic staff of 4 Wound and Ostomy RN?s, 1 PCT, and 1 Access Service Representative.



An inpatient wound care staff of 3 Wound and Ostomy certified RN?s



Clinic hours are Monday-Thursday 0730-1700



Inpatient hours are Monday-Friday 0730-1700



Orientation/Education:



4-week orientation, but flexible if more training is needed



Tuition reimbursement after completion of wound and ostomy certification with yearly bonus of $300



Tuition reimbursement for nursing advancements



Yearly conference and travel fees paid through Faxel Fund



Our physician and nursing staff have over 60yrs of combined wound and ostomy care experience, and are always looking for an opportunity to teach those new to the field.

Registered Nurse Requirements



Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program



License/Certification



RN ? Registered Nurse



BLS ? Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
