KUFM- Montana Public Radio invites applications for a Senior Producer/Podcast Host to oversee the production of an eight-part podcast series. This role will entail leading development, research, script-writing, reporting, voicing and sound design for the podcast. The person in this role will the lead planning and execution of each of these tasks, and delegate some duties to other staff on the project. This person will assist with assembling podcast episodes in a Digital Audio Workstation and marketing the completed podcast. This role will require a high level of initiative and independence. The person may also be required to travel out of state to collect reporting and sound for the project. Separate from the eight-part podcast series the position will assist in other production projects at Montana Public Radio. This position reports to the MTPR News Director. This position will supervise and give feedback to factcheckers and assistant producers/reporters on the podcast project.



Required Skills



  • Extensive knowledge of narrative audio writing, production, and reporting.

  • Extensive knowledge of podcast production and presentation.

  • Excellent speaking skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of environmental policy

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Professional demeanor, behavior, and ability to interact with a wide variety of people.

  • Knowledge of audio equipment and editing software.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Demonstrated excellence in narrative audio storytelling.

  • Bachelor?s degree in journalism or related field

Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm,
