Job Overview



Under the direction of department manager, the program coordinator will plan, design, deliver, evaluate, modify and coordinate math support for UC Clermont Learning Commons.



Essential Functions



  • Provide on-campus and virtual math tutoring (Group Review Sessions and 1:1 tutoring) and support services to students from a variety of backgrounds and levels of preparation.

  • Design, create and conduct workshops related to math support.

  • In conjunction with program supervisor, monitor weekly usage, identify problems and solutions, develop clear goals and action steps for program enhancement.

  • Plan, create and implement marketing strategies to engage students in math tutoring, promote class supports to faculty and increase usage rates.

  • Provide embedded tutor services in math classes with high DFW rates.

  • Interact with faculty, staff and other UC departments.

  • Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation surveys. Compile statistics and prepare reports.

  • Educate, communicate, liaise and perform outreach about math tutoring and UC Clermont Learning Commons services to students, faculty, staff and other college stakeholders.

  • Make presentations about UC Clermont Learning Commons services and participate in campus events such as Fall Fest, Open House, etc.

  • In conjunction with program supervisor, support the design and development of asynchronous resources and services.

  • Support other academic support and math tutoring projects as needed.

Required Education



  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience



One (1) year of program coordination experience.



Additional Qualifications Considered



  • One (1) year of program coordination experience.

  • One (1) year of tutoring or teaching math at the high school or college level.

  • Technical Skills:To perform this job successfully, the candidate should be fluent with email communication, and have experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web conferencing software like Teams and Zoom.

  • Experience with college student population, including first generation and post-traditional populations, and tutor program development.
