High School Level Math & English Teachers Wanted for After-School Tutoring

Sylvan Learning of Fremont is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated teachers to inspire and help our students achieve academic excellence. We are currently looking for teachers who can tutor middle or high-school students in Math.

Sylvan creates individualized learning plans for students of all abilities. Working with well-behaved groups of up to 3 students, you will be responsible for leading instruction and motivating students to be successful. There is no lesson plan to create, no homework to grade, no parent-conferencing, and scheduling is flexible. Enjoy all the benefits of teaching, without any of the downsides

You must reside in or near Fremont for your resume to be reviewed. This is not a remote position

As a successful teacher you will:

? Teach using Sylvan based programs from Pre-Algebra to Calculus for Math, Reading/Writing for English

? Supervise, interact with, and motivate students in a small group, 3:1 setting

? Reward students for completed assignments

? Communicate student needs to the center of education

? Inspire Students -Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment

? Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan

Job Requirements:

? Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent

? 3 years minimum teaching or tutoring experience preferred.

? Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.

? Availability Mon-Fri from 3.30pm - 7.30pm

? Being punctual is extremely important. You must be local and have reliable transportation
