Job description: The Assistant Dean provides critical day-to-day operational support for the online PharmD degree pathway. The position requires a collaborative and supportive relationship with faculty and administrative staff, and the ability to work with a cross-functional team of professionals across many School and University divisions. Responsibilities include overseeing critical processes, identifying improvements, resolving issues, and facilitating day-to-day success. The position will work primarily in the office with some flexible work arrangements available. The position will report directly to the dean.
Job Responsibilities
? Provide operational and administrative leadership to the online PharmD pathway to ensure ongoing success.
? Serve as primary liaison with the external online program manager (OPM) to facilitate day-to day operations including the Learning Management System (LMS), information technology (IT), student success, marketing, admissions, and experiential/placement.
? Serve as the liaison between the program pathway and key school and university functions such as marketing, information technology, student affairs, career services, admissions and compliance/accreditation processes.
? Collaborate with faculty and department chairs regarding coursework, student advisement and section registration.
? Oversee on-campus immersion activities and programming.
? Work closely with the Associate Dean of Students Affairs to address student concerns and support student success in the pathway.
? Coordinate with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to address academic related activities for students, coordinate academic schedule/calendar and support student progress activities.
? Collaborate with the Assistant Dean of Assessment to track and report student and program progress to maintain parity across both PharmD pathways by proactively monitoring student progress, program outcomes and performance metrics.
? Serve as an active member of the Dean's Executive Committee.
? Oversee support staff related to the Online Pathway.
? Conduct and disseminate the results of scholarly endeavors in appropriate forums.
Education / Experience
Qualified applicants will hold a minimum of a master's degree. An earned doctoral degree is preferred. Applicants should also have a minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education with significant experience in program management and online education. Experience in pharmacy or other health profession education, online instruction and curriculum development as a faculty member is preferred. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Supervision of Employees
The Assistant Dean for Online Education will oversee one administrative support staff for the program pathway.
