Job description: HOMEBOUND SPECIAL EDUCATION SPECIALIZED SUPPORT NEEDS TEACHER - DISTRICT WIDE
This position will serve our students who are in a homebound placement due to their specific medical needs. Services are provided in the students? homes, in collaboration with the school of residence and any special service providers as determined by an IEP team. Mileage reimbursement is available.

New teaching/new licensed staff orientation will be held on July 24 & 25, 2023
Experience:
District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year K-12 teaching experience up to 20 years.
Work Schedule:
182 contracted work days (Days are prorated based on start date.)

Salary:
The minimum starting pay is $47,004*/year and the maximum salary is $76,260*/year. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education and years of relevant experience (the maximum credit granted is 20 years).
*Salary is prorated based on start date.
Interviews are site-based and not conducted by the Human Resources office.

Qualifications and Expectations: * BA/BS from accredited college or university
- Valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in area of assignment: 5-21 Special Education Generalist or Specialist OR 5-21 Special Education Severe Needs. NOTE: These are the only endorsements that are acceptable for this position. If you do not hold this endorsement but have been accepted into a CDE approved program that when finished will yield you eligible to apply for a CO teaching license or added endorsement in Special Education Generalist while working under a Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) please upload your program acceptance letter that clearly states you are in a CDE approved program for Special Education Generalist and that the college/university are able and willing to sign off on all TEE paperwork.
- Must have a passing PRAXIS Elementary Education (Exam #5001 or #5018 only)
