Job title: Personal Trainer- Levy Senior Center

Job description: The personal trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering safe and effective exercise programs for seniors. The trainer will work one-on-one and in small groups with clients to help them improve their physical fitness, reduce the risk of falls and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for clients, taking into account their fitness levels, abilities, and goals.

Create, manage and maintain an accurate schedule, inclusive of client appointments, and meetings.

Provide instruction on proper form and technique for exercises to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to their exercise programs as needed

Provide clients with education on the benefits of regular physical activity and how to maintain an active lifestyle.

Communicate with clients' healthcare providers, as needed, to ensure safe and effective exercise programming.

Maintain accurate records of clients' progress and document any changes in their health status.

Attend staff meetings and training opportunities to stay current on industry trends and best practices.

Be knowledgeable of all safety procedures for senior populations.

Be available for consultation during the center's hours of operation and meet regularly with your supervisor for accountability and progress reviews.

Qualifications:

Must possess a high school diploma, GED or higher and two (2) or more years of progressively responsible work experience with senior personal training.

Certification as a personal trainer from a recognized organization such as ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, or other equivalent.

Experience working with the senior population and knowledge of how to adapt exercise programs for this population.

Possesses passion, ambition, drive, and knowledge regarding fitness

Ability to work in-person during weekdays/weekends

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Effective time management

Energetic, friendly, punctual, and respectful

Self-motivated and committed to continued learning and development.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Current CPR and AED certification.
