Position Summary:

The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing invites applications for the position of Instructor/Nursing Workforce Development Coordinator. The Instructor/Nursing Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible for facilitating student progression during the BSN program in collaboration with the Director of Student Services, Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs, Student Success Coordinator and faculty, and guiding students post-graduation to success on the NCLEX exam.

Responsibilities include:
  • Coordination of tutoring services
  • Responsible for setting up all tutoring within the College of Nursing
  • Identify potential peer tutors
  • Oversees all peer tutors and graduate teaching assistants with tutoring responsibilities including training and evaluation
  • Schedule tutoring for all courses in the BSN program
  • Act as a liaison for the Center for Learning and Student Success
  • Work with faculty to determine students who require tutoring
  • Monitor student participation in tutoring sessions
  • Oversee implementation of tutoring policy
  • Evaluate tutoring program and monitor student outcomes
  • May be responsible for providing tutoring and/or supplemental instruction as needed and based on an area of specialty.
  • In collaboration with the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs, Student Success Coordinator and faculty, support students as they prepare for the NCLEX exam and monitor completion of curricular requirements.
  • Be responsible for guiding and tracking students post-graduation to ensure success on the NCLEX exam.
  • The coordinator may also teach didactic, lab, or clinical courses as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in Nursing and Florida RN license required.
